Committees
The Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer organization of business and professional men & women who have joined together for the purpose of promoting civic, commercial and economic progress in our community.

The Chamber accomplishes its Program of Action through committees comprised of volunteer members.  Below is a brief description of activities the committees are involved in.

Special Events Committee

Responsible for the planning and management of all major chamber events including the Chili Cook-Off, Volunteer Fair, Annual Celebration, Festival of Trees, Christmas Business/Home Tour and other events approved by the chamber board.

Membership Development

The committee will meet quarterly or as necessary for the purpose of sharing information among industry leaders and exploring new programs to enhance the reail and services overall business climate.

Governmental Affairs Committee

The Evanston Chamber of Commerce believes one of its primary responsibilities is to represent the interests of business before elected officials at all levels of government.

Red Carpet Committee

Is responsible for welcoming new businesses to Evanston and participating in grand openings and ribbon cuttings.
