Evanston is

Evanston ishome of the last intact Roundhouse on the original Union Pacific Railroad line. In 2004, a Master Plan was created designating the Roundhouse as a future public building and as a future city hall. In 2009, the community held the first event in the renovated first section of the Roundhouse: The 27th Annual Renewal Ball.

Fresh AirThe Bear River Greenway is Evanston's river playground. Walk, jog and bike the greenway main trail which follows the bear river and offers fishing, white water activities, rafting and tubing. The Bear River Greenway also links Evanston's Historic Downtown with the Ice Ponds, various Nature Trails, the "Bear Tales" Fire Circle and live elk and buffalo exhibits at the Bear River State Park and Visitor Center, east of Evanston.
